Hi,

Hope this post is in the right place.
I am hoping someone can advise me as I've been out of fishkeeping for about 20years now and have decided to start up again.

I am having a nightmare choosing between the Juwel Lido 120 and the Roma 90 tanks.

Can anyone offer advice which would be the better tank to go for?

I aim to start with just simple fish like Cardinal Tetras etc and may try some Discus if I get back into it.

Many thanks

I have two Roma's (125 and 200) and I'm very happy with them.

But in this case I'd go for the Lido, simply because it's bigger and will give you more options stock wise (not discus though).

i'd go with the Roma, maybe stretch to a 125. The Lido's are very tall and Roma's are more pleasing on the eye imo. As above, no discus though.

I'd go for the Lido tank. The Lido would be a much better tank, especially if you are planing to plant it (high tech) since its got a higher 'WPG' than the Roma. The Roma has pretty poor lighting imo. You would need a 300L+ tank to house Discus.

I do intend to use plants and bogwood.
Excuse my ignorance but what is "WPG"?

WPG means watts per gallon
