Which tank?

Hi everyone, new here and looking for some advice.
Has anyone any experience of the Juwel Rekord 96?
I havn't owned a tank for 15 years now and like the idea
of getting the complete setup as one unit but I'm not sure
how the Juwel filters compare to others (external type).
Any advise welcomed.

Juwel filters are fine in general and with a Rekord 96 I think it comes with the standard "compact H" filter - which is more than adequate for a tank that size. They use the same filter in some their larger tank of even twice the size.

I have a Juwel 180 and the filter on that's been absolutely fine. Just do some regular filter maintenance (clean the filter head, impellor and filter media) on a regular basis and you'll be fine.

we were looking at juwel tanks are were very interested.. however were put off, by the fact that the filter was internal, which means that it just ends up taking up swimming room inside the tank. you can remove the filters, but then have to splash out on an external filter. for this reason we decided to go with a rena tank!
