i have a roma 240 with 2x Power Glo 42in 40w Fluorescent Tubes and they are ready for renewal, they still work but are almost 2 years old now i think....
my tank is quite heavily planted without Co2 and i just wondered if i should replace with the same tubes or are there any better ones out there?

cheers, Matt

also should i replace both at once or 1 at a time? incase of algae blooms due to better increased lighting in theory.....

good question, i wish i knew the answer, so come on you lot who know all about plants, and light and stuff

ive a fluval 800, it have two old tubes one sunlight one flora grolight and loads of algae, should i put in different tubes????

Just buy two plain T8 tubes that are of equal wattage to the current ones, about 6500-9000 kelvin would be fine, but make sure the colour rendition is above 75%.

Lamp specs is a good place to buy from.
