Which should i get?

Im going to get a bigger 29 gallon tank and am going to get one more gourami and have chose 3 candidates. They are a blue gourami, an opaline gourami or a gold gourami. whch do you think i should get?

I have all three and i love them all. I honestly like the gold the best. The blue and opaline are almost the same fish and i find them to be a little more aggressive. I also like the great gold color of them. I would reccomend all of them if you had the room, and i wouldnt give up my blue's or my opaline for anythig but if i had to choose i would go with the gold...

What's the little peach-colored gourami with the red fins called?

not 100% sure cos i in my exp it seems called by different names in different lfs . i think it is the dwarf honey gourami, seen it called dwarf gold and red robin they are all so similar!! pebbles

Hi Paradise_Gourami

They are all color variations on the blue gourami and have the same disposition. Personally, I would favor the gold because they are such a cheerful color.

Go for the Gold, Go for the Gold!!!! I just got 4 new ones...2 Blue and 2 Pearls. They are beautiful too. But there's nothing like my little Sunny!!!! He can be real bad though. When I put the new guys in he terrorized them so much that one of the Blue's{now fondly called Flip"} Fliiped out and jumped out onto the floor. I saved him and rescued the others and they are all in a 15 gallon temporarily. I have a new tank in my car and will sey\t it up tonight. Hopefully they will all live happily ever after in the new tank together.....

I would go with an opaline, however do not get a blue as well because they do look very much alike.... i love mine and he is wonderful and not very aggerssive

deb i wouldnt recomend getting one of all anyway because of how territorial gouramis are. I have a 29 Gallon tank any My Pearl and Dwarf were constantly fighting. I wouldnt recomend 4 Gouramis (they already have a dwarf) in a 29 gallon tank, theres just not enough room. Im not saying it will be impossible just very hard.
