Which Pleco Is It

I have a plec that was given to me by somebody, he thought it was a golden nugget and said he paid £25 for it. It likes like a golden nugget as it has the same colour and size spots but it hasnt got the yellow colouring on the fins. Is it still a golden nugget or something similar. Sorry couldnt get a picture as he never comes out

if you could find a picture on google that would really help identifying this fish.

and yer you got to know what species of pleco this is as most gold nuggets like meat in their diet and i believe some grow fairly large and others stay a bit smaller.

I could have gotten the name mixed up and it be a gold spot plec?

Thanks for your replies guys. I have looked at the pictures but none of them look like the one i have got. This is the best one i could get as he hides a lot.

Because i cant quite fully see from the photo, i would hazard a guess at L128 blue phantom but could be more green just cant tell so may be a L200 green phantom?

Have a look HERE!! & HERE!! to see if any of them match .

i wouldnt have said he was a golden nugget.

he doesnt have the traits, but i dunno if its the picture, but he also seems bigger than a nugget

if it doesn't have the yellow seam along the edge of its dorsal fin and tail, then it isn't a gold nugget, now as to which black and white spotted plec it is, no idea, could be one of a couple of dozen, if you can get a decent pic of it out and about, we can narrow it down

Yeah that actually looks very much like him, i guess its going to be impossible to know for sure as he looks like so many ie blue phantom, galaxy pleco and now this one. I think i will carry on trying different foods until i find one he likes. Thankyou for your help

Thanks! I do believe that, BUT I AM NOT SURE, the galaxy pleco and the vampire pleco are the sam spieces. Vampires grow 8-10 inches long.
