looks like Liposarcus multiradiatus, also known as common plec.

There are 4 species primarily sold as the common plec:

- Pterygoplichthys gibbiceps (Sail fin or Gibby Plec)
- Liposarcus/Pterygoplichthys multiradiatus
- Pterygoplichthys pardalis
- Hypostomus plecostomus

hope this helps. I believe it will grow to around 12"+, so your gonna need a BIG tank, 4x2x2' at least

yeah its a common.

P. disjunctivus would be my guess, commons are nearly always that or P. pardalis ime

Oh alright thank you

Wasnt sure on what it ways, i dont know my pleco's at all.
this is the first one i've had that is this color.

I know they get large, i usually sale them to the LFS around 5-7"s

/me shudders and shacks to think what happens to a fish that is overly large for the average aquairum :-(

And they pay you for them?

Mine wouldn't touch a larger common plec with a bargepole, they're virtually unsellable. Why bother buying it if you're just going to return it? Why not get a plec that would suit your tank size instead, instead of passing the buck.

Bah.
