what is a biggish plec for a 75gal

i have a bit of algae on my glass (not hair algae)

any sugestion is wellcome.

The Bristlenose catfish is the most common one for eating algae and you could have a male and female in there with no problems. The only problem is, it'a bit hit and miss as to whether they will eat the algae. Some do a fantastic job whilst others can be lazy!
To be honest, you are best cleaning most of it off by hand.

well i don't just want a plec because of the algae its just another reason to get one

is there any that grow to a foot and would that be ok in a 75gal?

Check out Planetcatfish.com for a better idea. What we do is go to our lfs, write down the list of Plecos they have and research them. That's how we ended up with most of ours!

Hi
I have two Chinese algae eaters there not that big about 2 to 3" long and not the nicest to look at but they do a great job of cleaning the tank, and they have so much fun in the tank, plus they are really cheap.
There a top fish my favorites in the whole tank n Ive got all sorts in there from sharks to mollies
just a recommendation :good:

Aren't Chinese Algae eaters the ones that end up really aggressive towards other fish? I could be wrong but it's worth checking.

Dan - You won't regret owning one, we have 16 now and still want more! Make sure you post pics when you get one. ;)

They have become an addiction! None of ours will grow more than 8".
The 137G tank has 12 assorted Plecos and our 34G has 4 Zebra Plecos. There's a list of what Plecos we have in my profile. I'm happy to post pics of them if you want.
