which do you like better?
could you also give me some facts about each one?

Personally i'd go for the rummynose. Something a bit different to the normal, the bleeding hearts are very similar to other tetras for my liking.

any others? thanks for the posts! i do dearly like the rummynoses, but the
bleeding hearts have wonderful color!

i've never kept bleeding heart tetras so i can't really say for sure.

but i really like my rummynoses..so fragile though at first, lost 4 within the first two days. and i even used this idea of siphoning a little tank water into a bucket containing their water using an airline tube. and you tie knots in it to slow the stream to drips.
i think i messed up by not having a heater in the bucket at the same temp as the tank...so when i restock maybe it'll work better...

but the ones that are left are awesome, they just shoal around all day, constantly swimming together. they don't bother anyone in my tank, and no one bothers them. and it makes me so happy to see their bright red noses
i like them just because they are quite different looking..with their tails and nose..but it'd be nice if their bodies had a somewhat more attractive color..the silver can be easily missed, but not the noses!

i have never kept bleeding hearts but i have 5 rummy noses and they are brilliant. great shoaling fish and they do colour up really nicely after a while. Adds a bit of variety to the tank

thanks guys, those rummynoses are sounding pretty good
any other opinons? i think im going to have to look real closely
into rummynoses!

Rummynose are my favoutite tetra and they colour up really well once they grow, they look skinny and weeedy in the shop but its not long before the fatten up and the red becomes very red and the tail looks a great contrast with the black and white stripe!!

I also really love rummynose tetra. I plan on adding 5 to my tank once my new pearl gourami has settled in a bit (only had it a few days). My lfs has them on offer at the moment... 4 for £5. They have a nice community display tank with various fish in it, including a large shoal of rummynose tetra. Even when 4 or 5 get separated from the main shoal they stick together and form a mini-shoal... and from what others have been saying it sounds like they are very good shoalers, which will look great. I think they look fantastic with their irridescent blue sheen, super-red nose and striking tail markings... they certianly caught my eye.

man really looks like rummynoses are the chose
at our pet store they actually take good care of the fish
so i get to see waht they look like in full
color. definetly beautiful!!!!!!

i would def go for the rummy nose tetras,
the bleeding hearts are nice, but they always look
brighter in the shop tanks!!! rummy nose all the way!!!
