so I was looking into adding a few loach to my 10 gallon which will have a stocking of:

2 Molly
2 Oto

when im done giving away the fry in my tank I am wondering which loach to add since I head 4 Coolie loach would fit in there with it since I have enough filtration for a 30 gallon in my 10 gallon. I was also thinking chain loach but I haven't found any place that has them yet. Are the any more that I could use or are those my only choice?

Either one (and any other Botine species) would be inappropriate for a 10g, except for short time quarantining. These are large animals that need space.

Almost all loaches need more than 10g; kuhlis are one of few that can be considered; and some smaller hillstreams can be kept in a properly constructed 10g.

I currently use a gravel in my tank but its a mixture of pea gravel on top and fine small gravel on the bottom making it easy to roam around in. I have a good selection of plants in the tank as well as some wood. I plan to add more to the tank before I add any Loach but am hoping that it should work out well . I want to find Dwarf/Chain Loach for the tank most but will kuhlis is I cant find any.

I would agree with Mikev on this one, your tank is not appropiate for loach bearing in mind that all Botine species should be kept in groups of at least five.

yoyo(pakistani) loach
zebra loach
either would be fine

Definitely not. No botine loach will work in a 10gal.
Kuhlis are about the only thing that would work in a 10 gal.

I had a small yoyo in a 10 gal for awhile. He was very timid in there. Hid all the time and was very skittish. After I upgraded to a 75, he was out all the time. Got him some friends, and he really took on a new personality. A 10 gal just isn't big enough for them for any length of time, since they'll easily get to 5"+.

Most people recommend a 29 gal for the dwarf chain loaches. They're active and need to be in groups.

well before introducing them I plan to add a nice amount of plants and hiding places. I really would like Kuhlis in my tank so I want to give them a good environment and how many should I have?

Best, change the substrate to sand first, it is better for kuhlis (and most common loaches, for that matter).

Then, I'd start with three; it is possible to keep more, especially if the kuhlis are of a smaller species.

The driftwood piece on the right look like a good one for kuhlis, position it so there is a shallow area under the wood for them to inhabit.

none
even yo yos can get up to a goo 4 to 6 in
also,
is this tank cycled, because all loaches make terrible cyclers ive heard

You could try a couple coolie loaches. They are really cute and only get to about 3&half inches. They look sort of like small eels, with brown stripes. :good:
