The tank isn;t high anyway but I;ve just cracked my 4 pieces of live rock into about 12!!

I;m going to be able to make a higher scape

I;ve got a toadstool, xenia, green zoa, yellow polyps and a ricordea florida

which would you put highest etc?

Just asking incase there is a desired pecking order with these

I was thinknig toadstool front middle to allow it to grow and spread, xenia at the side to allow expansion, zoas at the top and yellow polyps top and side and riccordia maybe at the front somewhere away from toadstool

cheers simon

I;m doing it at about 9.30 when i get back from work

Hi Simonas, What fun, I love rescaping!
I have Zoas, Rics, Xenia and a Toadstool,so from my experience, your placings should be fine, the Toadstool will grow quite fast so probably easier to place it low down, Zoas are more vibrant at higher light levels, but do adapt to lower light levels, the main problem being that Zoanthid colonies can compete with each other (allelopathically and for space) as well as other corals. I have also seen it suggested that Zoas can inhibit Xenia growth if too close (I'm sure many would like that to be the case once Xenia takes hold!)
The Xenia in my tank grows well at the bottom, although I keep it on a seperate piece of LR to keep it in check.
I have found with my Ric, that it doesn't like too much light and although it started at the top of my tank, it never really thrived until I put it closer to the bottom, but that is one of the joys of this reefkeeping malarky, each coral is different and sometimes you may have to move them around a bit until they really find their ideal light/flow conditions.
Have fun

dedicated to my work!!1 just not enough hours in the office day somethimes so its nice to do it at night when quiet and I feel better for clearing the paperwork I have :good:

I;ve been away over night and let the dust settle from my scaping, it wasn;t as straightforward as I thought, the putty I used was hard to work with, I;ve done it in a bit of a rush to be honest I might change it agaain although its better than it was

I;ll probably leave it let what I have in there grow and maybe add one more coral

Once the tank matures and looks more lived in it will probably look much better and I cannot wait to add a fish or two
