which goldfish

which golddfish is the smallest and most hardy?I have a 20gal and i want a goldfish because i always feel sorry for them in the bowls which one is best?I no commons are hardy because my friends went down the sink riped its tail in half and is still alive but i want some thing diffrent ive had black moores and didnt really like them that much so which one out of the fantail, veiltail and oranda are best and smallest or should i stick to a comet?

The smallest species are the fancy variations but they are by no means the hardiest. The hardiest are species like Commons, Comets and Shubukins.
