Hiya, I have a tank of around 50 gallons. In it I currently have one bristlenose, 6 neons, 3 green tiger barbs, 3 albino barbs, a pair of keyhole cichlids and a pair of kribensis who all get along great :) All these fish I have had for around 6 months, and with the exception of the kribs and keyholes, are all quite small. I would like to get some slighlty larger fish, a pair of something preferrably. I was wondering if any of u have any suggestions? My tank seems empty around the middle-Id really like a pair of slighlty larger fish in there. Obviously they'd have to be peaceful fish....I dont want any arguments inside my fish tank!! any suggestions? Thanks!

I think that a couple of Angels would do well in that set up, but I have heard that they love to eat neons.

Ok, thanks-il check out whether they do like to eat neons or not before investing in any!!

Angels would fit nicely in your tank but unfortunately yes, some people have found that they like to munch on neons.

But maybe if the angels were bought small and allowed to mature with the neons they would be less inclined to eat them. Or maybe just make sure the angels are well fed. ;)

If you are looking for larger fish and a pair, you are really looking at some kind of chiclid, for a community tank. Remember that cichlids will get pretty aggressive and territorial if they start breeding.

However, I have to disagree with the others about angels - you have tiger barbs which are famous fin nippers - and the angels have those lovely long flowing (munchable) fins. Instead I would recommend some smaller mid water shoalers instead.

I wasnt necessarily looking for another pair of cichlids, i just want a slightly larger pair of fish to put in my tank :)
