Which fish catch your eye?

Every time I have been to my LFS there has always been a fish that really catches my eye and I have to show a rare fit of will power to avoid buying and taking it home.

For me this has been plecs recently. There's such a wide range of varieties and colours there's always something new and of interest. I saw a lovely fish over the weekend, labelled as a Blue Spotted Plec L128, but with MUCH bluer spots than this one:

Not really room with my BN and Gold Nugget though...

Need more tanks...

Anyway, what fish catch your eye?

Things that won't really go with my guppies..... like sevs and a gorgeous Midas. And tiger botias that would wreak a wave of destruction......

And a mbu puffer..... and those innocent looking Mbuna....

me want the Midas.... why won't he go in a 10 gallon?? He's soooooo purty...

I saw a lovely fish over the weekend, labelled as a Blue Spotted Plec L128, but with MUCH bluer spots than this one:

That's because that picture is of a L200, Lemon Spotted Green Plec, not an L128.
L200 and L128 are the same species from two different areas of the same river.

Both are fantastic fish!

I'd love an axylotyl, no room yet. I'd love a black knife, no suitable community is set up yet (i'd build around it for suitable tank mates). And I want more gourami, but I'm waiting on money

ohhhh... and a starfish, sea horse and some other types of salt water/brakish, but I don't have those environments set up at the moment.

Platies and swordies. Besides the african cichlids they are the fish that are the brightest in my LFS's.....prolly explains why I buy one almost everytime I visit the LFS

Cichlids have been catching my eye a lot. It doesn't matter if they can't go in with the oscar or dempsey they can't come home.
