Which Filter To Get?

hello i have an elite 95 litre tank and ive kinda just got into fish keeping and need advice on which filter to get i know that i want to get a fluval u series but which one? should i just get the u4 i believe they have adjustable flow rate so it should be okay?

what do you guys think?

My U2 doesn't have an adjustable flow rate... but it does have different flow patterns. Eitherways I'd get the U3 for yours. Should be plenty powerful enough.

Yeh a U3 would be ideal for your tank, I think it's only the u1 which has adjustable flow control, where as the others I believe have adjustable direction control.

They're a great set of filters though I think you might want to add a few more biomax nodes in the centre casket as AFAIK they supply 40grams of for all U2/3/4 filters.

I know PDSimon has a Fluval U3, perhaps you could ask him any queries you had. I'm sure he wouldn't mind.

Hi, yes the U3 definitely has the adjustable flow control. I have just set up a new Fluval Roma 125 with the U3 and it seems to have an excellent flow. If you place the top of the filter close to the water surface there is also a little venturi valve you can attach with draws air through as well and aerates the water nicely.

Hi, yes the U3 definitely has the adjustable flow control.

The U2/3/4 have adjustable Directional Flow or whatever, which allows you to change the direction at which the water is pumped out, top bottom or spray.

Where as the U1 as adjustable flow control in which you can reduce the amount pumped out.

well i did get the u3 in the end and i think i made the right choice the u3 is great !powerfull and has all those settings ie:top spray bottom spray center spray and the venturi valve thing for you change whenever you feel like its definately a good product,

i got it from a seller on ebay for £28
