Which do you prefer when stocking a tank?

Which do you go for in a tank?

I only have two options because that's what I'm interested in knowing, but you can post whatever you'd like.

I go for bright colors......thats why I have guppies mollies platys and a gourami.....with danios and corys thrown in for movement

I go for a good mixture of top/middle/bottom dwellers and day/nocturnal fish.

I don't have many especially colourful fish, but I do have a few weird ones.

i like my africans cause they are colorful and flashy and they move around alot another thing is how they recognize me and interact with me differently to other people there is no reason why you can't have evrything with one kind of fish, they get kinda big too

I go for getting a good spread of different types of fish (e.g different water layers) I go on what I like (How it looks and acts) and Whether it will fit in with the other fish in my tanks

I voted activity because I equate it with health and balance. It doesn't mean that everything in the tank has to zoom around, just that every occupant feels free to do what's natural for it.

I like large fish, too...but, I like colorful fish. I had a hard time picking between "other" and "color".

I say activity. I love my new pink convicts. They recognize me now and when I walk in the room they go nuts. I just love them.
