lol once again we see that more than just water type effects how well stock survive. it is unlikley that any of the above quotes are "untrue" in the experiance of the postee. looking at it on balance it would seem better to keep "red crabs" in brackish conditions. but equally they also seem to live well in some freshwater conditions. as my mum used to say "there is more than one way to skin a cat".Yeah, dizzied is right. Red claw crabs need access to land, brackish conditions and will likely attack other fish.

They don't live well in freshwater. They're just hardy enough to survive in it for a while.
