Which Brand Of Heater Would You Recommend?

Hello

I'm giving a colleague my old 9gal tank. She will need to buy a heater for it as she would like to get a betta. What brand of heater would you recommend? For my tanks I have got an interpet and a fluval but I would be interested to see if there is a brand you prefer. I have also heard that a certain brand is know to malfunction but I can't remember which one!!!

When I needed to buy heaters I went for Jager, simply due to the ehiem link (Jagers part of eheim group) as I know the reputation of ehiem for quality. They use less wattage as well compared to other heaters. Beware though, they are longer than 'regular' heaters, so if space is an issue I would check the dimensions of the heater you would need.

For intenals, Fluval Tronics are supposed to be best on the market, but I trust Visitherm, Hagen Elite and Tetratec heaters for internals.

For exturnal in-line heaters, Hydor are good
