If you mean which do we like better, I prefer bettas with normal pectoral fins - in other words I don't like dumbo bettas. But I also prefer bettas with short fins instead of those huge fins we see so often these days.

I wouldn't say either of them is more rare than the other. These days, so many bettas are bred din the far east in so many different colours, fin type and colours that it is difficult to call any of them rare.

Neither. Wild bettas are the best.

I’d opt for the short fined female simply because since the male betta’s tail is so big he’s likely to start tail biting. And the ladies fins are much less likely to get caught on decorations and tear

I do like a big tailed betta but I don't if I'd get one again because I can't keep them alive. My plaket betta and my wild bettas are still going strong so I'll stick with them.
