Hi,
I want to set up a 70 litre tank with some barbs for my daughter. I want an active, fun to watch barb.
The ones in mind were, Checkered barbs, Odessa barbs, Golden barbs or Black ruby barbs.
I have kept Cherry barbs before and although great fish, they dontseem to move much.
Any thoughts on which one of the four I should buy??
Thanks

pentazona barb

YES! tiger barbs! they are REALLY active, always come to the front when you come in the room.
they also come in three different colours, green, stripy or yellow (albino)

my sister has them alone in a biorb and they are great. i would have some if they were compatible with my fish, they are quite nippy.

Can you keep tiger barbs in a 70L tank? Don't they require 100L or something?

IMHO
the only barbs suitable for that size tank are chekered Puntius oligolepis, gelius Puntius gelius or pentazona/hexazona.
