I have 3 corys right now and am interested in getting a few more. The stores closest to me don't have much of a variety and I was wondering how to find a breeder or how online ordering and the shipping process worked. Thanks!
there are a few people breeding corys on here at the minute including myself but it depends on what type you want really.... online fish deiveries in my experience are normally ok if any die in transit then they will normally replace with another. it can be a bit iffy in the winter months due to the cold temperatures but if packed with enough heat packs then they should be ok and most will insist on a timed delivery with a signature to ensure the fish are not in the box for longer than is needed.
if you only want a small number of corys then the postage can really boost the price of each fish sky high but if its the fish you really want and cant get them anywhere local then i guess it may be worth paying. try ringing a few fish shops in your area to see if they have the stock you want and im sure 1 will. i would rather drive an hour than use postage to be honest but if postage is required then they should be fine
If you live in the u.s the stores petco have desent corys.but stores just detacated to fish may have a wider range of corys,in my area of the u.s this is what i find
Ok sounds good they might have albino or bronze corys which are good begining corys and there really cool,or the may have spotted corys that is mostly what i have seen around my petcos and i sometimes see green/emarald corys
