right now its behind some plants on the opposite end of most the water circulation.

will it naturally spread out or should i move it?

My diffuser is directly below my filter intake which means it is taken through the filter and then re-enters the tank via spray bar. I have very tiny bubbles all ocer the tank and the C02 has had lots of contact time with the water. Not sure if this is the right way or not but just how I have mine setup at the moment and it seams to work.

sounds good, like you not sure if its right though, maybe try mine there

put it in a place that gets good flow, routing the gas into your filter may void the warranty, and place your DC at the opposite of the tank to where the diffuser is situated.
