The expantion has been on the cards for a year or 2, before you were part of the membership, there was no way of contacting you. This was all done between planted mods and the whole mod team. Guess what it wasn't even asked for by the membership, we did it off our own backs! It has taken A LOT of hard work, so why would we need to consult with you regarding getting this sorted??

I like the new layout, it's fresh and needed, the volume of traffic requires the breakdown and it's a neat development, kudos to the mods that made it possible.

What a way to start a New Year, I'm glad people have time on their hands to bring such IMPORTANT matters to the mods attention.

Like it's been said, there are growing pains involved with a section expansion.

The decision to expand the section was not taken lightly and was a concept that I and Ian developed before many of you were even regular members. My concept of the expanded section was developed based on observations and suggestions by other members, so yes, this was most definitely done with member consultation.

If you have problems with this, again, bear with us, the move will take some amount of time to accomplish completely. Or PM me or any of the other planted mods if you have issue.

Growth and expansion is, at times, a difficult process, but one that I felt was seriously needed in this situation.

The marine classifieds are kept seperate. While yes, there is an overlap with freshwater tanks, in terms of some lighting or equipment, we trust the members to put their things up for sale in the section they feel is most relevant. If someone doesn't, then we move it to the right place. It will be the same with this. If a member feels that a lighting setup is more appropriate to other planted members than general planted members, then fine. If they want to generate more interest by putting it in the general classifieds, that's fine too. Whether we allow replication in these circumstances is yet to be decided. But as we don't keep marine and fresh together, it's not that odd to do the same with planted.
