Lately I have been looking at all my boys and girls when I go to bed, and after the room has been dark for a few hours, they are all already in bed. :p Anyways, a lot of them aren't too exciting, but a few are SO cute when they sleep! They have special places and positions.

My dark maroon gal, Mulan (just named her), is probably one of the most original. She has a plastic plant with long, tall "leaves". They are actually not shaped like leaves, just long strands, but anyways... the center of the plant doesn't have any. She goes into the middle, and lays down with her belly on the side of the plant strands. She's at a 45 degree angle with her head up, and her tail resting on the bottom. It's freakin ADORABLE!! She always is in the same place too..... just cute cute cute.

Another cutie freaked me out last night when I was lookin for him. Couldn't find him ANYWHERE! He's the green one in my Marina betta tank. Eventually he poked his head out and I saw him.... he was all curled up in a teeny tiny pot I have in there! One of the little clay kind, of the smallest size (and he's not small, with all that tail!). He goes in there every night now, so freaking cute.

One more.... my other female in the azoo, she sleeps propped up horizontally on her plastic plant, braced so the current won't sweep her away. She also is about a quarter of an inch away from the surface so all she has to do is lift her chin to get air.... lazy bum!!

Let's hear about your lovely bettas' sleeping habits... they're so funny.

most of them find little perches in the floating plants and make little betta beds for themselves, soo cute. ;)

I purchased a female betta last year and named her betty. I wanted to fix her up with a male but never did. Through the summer and breaks from school she ended up at my rents house and now she is my moms best friend! :D There is a big shell in her bowl and she goes into the shell and sleeps. When she is awake she just peeps her little head out and then will come out of the shell when someone comes. My mom also taught her to jump out of the water and eat food off of her finger

She is big now! Her body is twice the size of most male bettas that i see

Monkey sleeps resting on the plant so he doesn't have to swim to take a little bit of surface air, just like your female. Eddie used to sleep inside his castle, but he's battling velvet right now. :( :(

DC sleeps at the bottom with the cory cats. He just "flop" Right down next to them behind the little fake coral so the current wont get him all uprooted! haha!

Hex just got a new two gallon (everyone say ooooo) and he still his his 'rock formation'. It's a rock with a hole in the middle all the way through. He puts his head in the hole and wiggles a bit so that he's perched on it and wont lean out the front or the back. The two girls sleep on the bottom behind their plants.

The other two don't really do anything special. They just flop on the bottom, I assume.

Homer and Duff will sleep under or very near their bubblenests when they have one. Otherwise they usually sleep in the "jungle" of tall plants where the current won't bother them or behind the filter...which seems to be a favorite spot for both of them.

freddy just rented a motelcup??? :p. Yeah my fish sleeps in a cup so what ur bettas could afford better than that :grr: :grr: :grr: huh huh huh huh huh
