Where Do People Get Their Snails From?

OK, this may sound dumb but where do people get all their nice apple snails from? My LFS only stocks the gold ones (and they keep dyeing off there) and everyone else seems to have some really nice ones, like pippoodle who i got mine from which are fab. But is there somewhere i can get some other colours from?

Can you wait a couple of week's, I've got loads of baby Apple Snails on the go. and some more clutches of eggs. Free to good homes for peeps on TFF. The rest I'm gonner sell, on one income family at the mo, like the rest of the country.

Oh I've found out that baby Apple snails are not tasty to Bala Sharks and large Ghourami's. I've witnessed mine suck them up and then spit them straight out again, and the baby has just crawled away unharmed. Can't tell what the colour's will be yet they all look golden, maybe there is somebody out there who has bred them before and know's at what stage they change colour if at all.

What colours were the parents may help you idetify the young i didnt get it right till they reach about 1-2 cm in size (which doesnt take too long).

And i can second you on them not tasting good, i watched my guppies and rams suck them up and spit them out lol

Thanks truck sadly none of those are apples which is what im after will keep checking abck there though

I have 6 parents in total, a mix of golden, brown/stripe, pale yellow and purple. I'm hoping for more purple as the one I have is stunning. I've borrowed a friends digi camera, when I've sussed out to take and download piccy's I'll post them on here showing Parents, Babies and eggs.

snail shop are soo expensive aswell
now that you have to have minimum £10 order plus the £4.99 delivery makes it really expensive

i got my purples , blues and pinks from ebay hun
will look out the id and pm you - cos they were good snails - well you got someof the babies lol

the lady got none advertised at the moment
there are some on there are that are 3mm , thats about the size i sent you and those are £3 each - i woudlnt' pay that for ones that small too risky

They are still quite a bit cheaper then any of my LFS and have a nice wide selection which are of fantastic quality as I believe most are home grown. There are always better deals on ebay, forums and the occasional classifieds but for a one stop shop I think its very good.
