It probably didn't look that ugly before it died. Decay can do weird things to a corpse. Remember that freakish "chupacabra" corpse they found a few years back in New Mexico? At some point that had been a small breed dog. Couple weeks out in the sun and it was a monster.

There's some rodent experts who've been trying to get ahold of the corpse last I heard, but so far it's only been seen by government people in the same vein who fail to identify washed up dolphins and squid.

had a bit more of a read of a few other articles on it, looks to be some sort of Water Rat, Racoon, or a Dog...
disapointing, i wanted it to be some sort of undiscovered creature from the depths of the deepest oceans... haha. that woulda been cool.

They actually found another weird corpse washed ashore in New York. There is a video here just a warning to anyone squeamish. Basically what sounds like a bunch of boys poking at a dead corpse that washed ashore with a stick. IDK to me it looks like it was some kinda herbivore from looking at the small segment you can see of its teeth. Floating in the ocean and being nibbled on by animals, can do really weird things to a corpse.
