I've been huntin' for crowntails for quite some time now and had no luck...most LFS in my area don't carry them because the manager got feed up of the staff selling crowtails as regular betta's all the time so they stop carrying them... My favourite LFS(Big Al's) only have them during christmass time(don't know why :/ ). Just wonderin if they are being sold online and it would be nice if Anybody knows a site where they would ship to Toronto(canada)....thanks.....

I just called around to every pet store I could think of, finally found a place that carries them. I saw them on eBay, I can't remember the seller's name offhand & I'm not sure if he ships to Canada or not either, but I got my yellow/green veiltail from him. If you don't mind spending a little more check out bcbettas.com, I think they have a sale section too :)

I'll check out those sites guys.... thanks.... One more thing, I never buy fish online and I'm just wonderin if a fish could survive 5-10 days in a package cause overnight delivery via plane is pretty expensive????

yes there is a possibility but i would'nt chance it because 10 days without food would suck.

espically if that's a really expensive fish that you paid for :p

personally if you're willing to buy off aquabid you should just pay for hte overnight shipping anyways since the crownatils there usually cost quite a bit already :)

omg you live in toronto!! sorry i just saw that, i live in the toronto area and i just got 3 crowntails!

not sure if you live near scarborough, but you know hte scarborough town center? there is a pjs pet store there, and they will occasionally ship in bettas from thailand, and most of them are very nice crowntails, but they are 7.99 each (isn't too bad if you compare it to online prices).

the manager say they uusally go within 2 days, they're not a regular appearance at the store, but you coudl ask when they will be getting in thier next shipment!

That's Awesome I'll check it out this weekend, so they do carry crowntails cause the PJ's at Yorkdale don't carry them at all anymore cause the manager said that their staff just confused them with regular bettas and sell them for $2....lol. Big Al's manager said that they normally get it around christmass time and they don't last long.....Anyways thanks cute  cotton

np :D i know the pjs at yorkdale dont' have it..they dont have much of anything acutally :/ same goes with Big Als, it's hard to find, but last weekend the pjs at scarboorugh town center just restocked and they had over 24 crowntail bettas :D i came out with 3, and by monday they were all gone :( (i went on firday, when the shipment came in).

But they are so beatiful! i garantee you wont' be disappointed if you go on early and pick before other people  Call the fish manager guy, his name is John, and ask when the next shipment will come in

and sorry i made a mistake, they are 8.99 each, or two or 16.29 :)
