When You Give Your Tank Size In Gallons...

...do you give it in imperial gallons? US gallons? How do American and UK fishkeepers talk about their tanks together without confusion?

I feel stuck constantly giving my tank size in litres when gallons seems to be the standard - but I'm confuuused!

But most people refer to US gallons.

Personally, I'd prefer it if people gave their tank size in length x width x height; gallons is not a good guide for recommending stocking levels or fish species
