they both looked pregnant when i got them, and they have got bigger but they just havent dropped? ive had them well over a month now, ive got my fry tank prepared and everything!

Somewhere I read that some fish spawn without the eggs being fertilised.
How many mollies are in your tank are you sure you have a male?

One fish I know does that, goldfish. They drop eggs and then if there is a male, if then the eggs MIGHT get ferilized. Mollies are live bearers (don't know if I spelled that right). When it looks like she's about to pop, put her in a nursery. She'll eat her babies. OR, if you don't know, just put her in a nursery right now. She babies will be able to get away from her and she won't be able to eat them. Just give her some food so she won't attemp to eat them. But she'll probably eat one. :p

I'm in the same boat with my Molly. She already gave birth to one lot of fry but they can continue this for upto six months without the need to re-fertilise eggs! .
I thought mine has been ready for the past week as its been five weeks since she gave birth but she is stubbourn as she is displaying all the signs (squared off, she is quite big, gravid spot, general behaviour) but she is still holding on although I've got my fingers crossed that it will be soon.
I've just got one area of my tank heavily planted for the fry to escape too before I take them out and add them to my fry tank though I made that sound easier than it is!!!
Hope all goes well for you Liz ... Good luck.
