When To Remove The Parents?

As some of you may know i had some cichlids in a temp 90 litre tank and they decided to spawn, now the fry are nearly a cm in size now, would it be ok to remove the parents?? or is there some time i need to wait still?? thanks!

if theres no other fish in the tank you can remove the parents at any time

actually, i have a similar question, dunno if you know this razer.. how big to the babies get at around 5 weeks old? can they be "rehomed" then?

ah great as there new tank is finaly cycled hehe ive only just this min finshed setting up the deco in it!! abit taned from the bogwood but anyway, haych, honestly this is the first time ive owned cichlids and also the first time they have spawned lol but the batch i have are atm, erm they layed the eggs on the 5th of last month (oct) and the eggs hatched on the 10, well sort of hatched they started swimming around on bout the 14th i think? anyway so if you work it out from there there 1cm in size now, well the biggest ones some are still tiny say 6mm?? ive noticed the little guys dont eat any of the food i give them, but the love the alge in the tank lol

but around one month then.

the reason i ask is my mate has some cichlid babies and has offered me some, and i have said i would advertise on here for him, so i should be able to sort something then!

thats no problem i look forward to seeing the babies! anyway, the adults have been moved from the tank (which btw was absolute hell!) the babies seem fine, so i guess it can be done

Sure ya didn't get any fry? I have HRP's and they ate their eggs

i read somewhere that good practice is 2 months before selling.

well, i know cichlids at least in genral will eat there eggs/babies if they feel to threaten'd but other then that im slowly getting use to raising them, now its my turn to really shine! the parents have ripped each others mouths apart....im unsure if that is a good thing this time round!!
