When Should I Start Testing For Phosphate?

As in the title really! Having just finished my cycle I'm wondering when I should be checking my phosphate levels?

Planning on adding a shrimp and some more hermits today then potentially some clowns at the weekend but the phosphate tests have just crossed my mind!
