WHEN CAN I????

one of my fish died last week we couldnt find but after a wile we did. When we touched it, it fell in to peices but now all of it is out. we were thinking of getting more catfish or guppys or one or two algae eaters(we havent had an algae eater before)
we have had guppys and cat fish efore. Can you help???

I would do a water change with finding the fish like that about 20% or more, and maybe do one the next day aswell, how big is the tank.

Do a test for ammonia and nitrites, to see if any are in the water. the results are negetive then you can add some new fish at any time. Otherwise you'll want to do water changes and get things back to par before even considering more additions.

What size is the tank and what fish do you have already? Also, what do you mean by 'algae eater'?

Also, what are your water parameters and how long has the tank been set up (with fish)? Is it cycled?
