my other fish dont get attacked whys this happening :dunno:

hi
we need a bit more information, like species of fish, the number of them, the other occupants, the size of tank etc

ok the fish in question is a swordtail ... my tank is a ten gal hexagon tank ive only been keeping fish 7 weeks, so any help is appreciated ..I have 5 neon tetras 4 danios a fighter fish who is very gracious and a sucker fish and the 4 swordtails which up untill last weekend got on swimmingly :dunno:

What ratio of male to female of the swords do you have?

Do you know the real name of the sucker fish? This could either need company or may grow too large for your tank.

Also have you tested for Ammonia, Nitrite & Nitrate?

I'm no expert but that sounds like a lot of fish for such a little tank.

Firstly your tank is overstocked
secondly if the swordtail male to female ratio is incorrect then this is the cause of the aggression.

Thirdly
danios need much much more room than a 10 gallon tank
IMO you need to rehome or return the danios and the betta (fighterfish)
and as asked what kind of suckerfish do you have? If it's an oto then thats fine but if it's not you need to rehome or return that as well.
