Hi Fish Fin-atics...I'm new to this forum...I have a male Powder Blue Gourami that I've had for about a year. He's my oldest and most favorite of all my fish and he is the most docile fish in my tank!!! I had a few aggressive fish that thought they could pick on him but either got time-out or a infamous swirley!!! (Time-out is being kept in net for a while...YES...it really does work.) Anyway Blue Boy ended-up with some scales missing on his left side but recovered nicely but he has come-up with something new!!! He has a large lump on his left side just past his gills and his scales have fallen off again??? Any clues or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!! P.S. The fish in the background is "Bif Rd"...shevis a VERY LARGE swordfish female who is Blue Boy's Favorite Tank Mate!!! She defends him...plays with him...and in her own way Loves him!!! You can see her peekin' around the corner in the back to make sure I'm not hurtin' her boy!!! Cute!!!

Hi @Kelle Kids I hope you're having a great day and welcome to the forums!
I also own a PBDG in my smaller community tank ?
Anyways by the sounds of it you're gourami possibly injured himself on something in the tank, does the tank have any possible sharp objects he could've hurt himself on? What are you're water perametres looking like? Sometimes when fish injure themselves they can develop ulcers or other bacterial infections due to the slime coat being damaged and bacteria from the water seeping in. How is he behaving at the minute? Is he eating okay? I hope I can help you with this problem.
