Whats Up With My Platy?

Hi All,

Ever since i've had one of my platys she has seemed to be almost continually pregnant, I know she has been cos I have some fry who have survived. The thing is though, even after she has had fry she still seems pretty fat.

Anyway, I noticed yesterday she had a kind of white stripe up the side of the body where some the the scales seem to be flaking or lifting up. It doesn't look like whitespot and she seems to be behaving normally (quite active, swimming normally, no clamped fins etc.)

None of the other platys seem affected, but from what I have read it could possibly be dropsy?

I've tried taking photos, but the flaking is so subtle it wouldn't show up.

I know its a long shot, but any ideas on what it is/what to do?

My female guppies are the same with that pregnant situation. They seem to have had fry, but are still fat with dark marks. Like they are still pregnant, but are not...

Scales lifting up and making your fish look like pine cones is a sign of Dropsy. Google it.
