Now i went to the store today to get some fishies, and i fell in love with the smallest pleco i have ever seen, it was a tiny baby sitting grazing a stone ornament of a starfish, now i bought it insted of the siamese algae eater that i had originally went in to get, now it said Gebbicep on the label they had, but i have had a gebbicep before, and this baby was no gebbicep, the patterns and colours were all wrong, i would class it a bristle nose pleco however for one feature, the tip of its fins are like that of a golden nugget pleco, it is spotty, however the colours are too dark for it to be a golden nugget pleco, does anyone know if this is or not a bristle nose pleco?

Baby plecs do have very different colours & marking to adults.

However, with coloured fin tips, it sounds like it might be a baby bristlenose.

With lots of algae wafers, bloodworm & fresh veggies, he'll grow quickly, then we'll know!

does it look like this??

If so - its a young bristlenose.

Yeah, it looks just like that, glad to hear i am right in thinking it is a bristle nose, blady pet store needs to sort itself out on its labelling, selling those under a Gebbicep label can be misleading to some people

Thanks
