I want to keep some in my 60L, ones that will eat snails hopefully.
I have read different opinions on the size of loaches,(one book says one thing, the other says something else) so I would prefer to here what everyone's experience is.
Thanks

I think Botia Sidthimunki(pygmy chain loach)would do the trick.

Botia Sidthimunki is frequently quoted as being a small loach. It is more probable that this CITES Red Listed endangered species simply does not live long enough in captivity to attain it's adult size. There is a picture of a 100+mm specimen at LOL.

Botia striata is also a 100mm species, and IMHO a better snail eater. Botia moreletti is also a smaller species, again up to 100mm, but is a bad tempered fish, and for it's size, very aggressive.

All are gregarious and should be in groups of 3 or more. You will need to consider this when reckoning on the available space in your tank.
