Whats The Minimum I Should Keep?

I have 5 odessa barbs right now, so i was wondering is there a minimum amount i should keep to stop them from being boisterous? they chase each other like crazy and sometimes other fish, no harm has come yet, but Id like to avoid it if possible!

well with tiger barbs, its 6 to keep aggression down, so buy another 1

Edit: Just read some sources, they like to shoal so 10 is recommended.

I have 2 males and 4 females and they dont chase any other barbs. They chased each other for the first few months and now they are fine. I've had them for a year now
