Some more seasoned reef keepers develop personal preference. I've found that there are even extreme differences between fiji rock sold at two seperate stores so I tend to believe that when purchasing LR, one should be more concerned with color, signs of life, weight, and whether its cured or not, rather than where it comes from. Also of course, rock that does not have aiptasia or mojano is prefferable
I agree with SkiFletch. There is little difference except perhaps for the type of hithhikers you may find that are indigenous to that area. But...you can decide on this. Hitchhikers are 'invisible' when you buy the LR. The only comment is that Tongan types can include 'branch' which should not be used except for aquascaping design. SH
