I've been using the clear vinyl stuff that came with them for years and years (I'm using 301's and 401's to give you an idea how long) and this stuff is awful. They fall out of the inlets within days and harden and fill with algae which slows airflow. So, what's the best tubing to use which will remain in the inlet where it's supposed to stay as well as not harden or cover with algae? Seems to me the black tube by Lee's might be the best at preventing algae since it block the most light. There are also blue colored offerings from TopFin and Hagen and I don't think algea is the single largest problem so much as hardening (also shrinks which causes them to fall out) which appears to be the biggest issue. Not to mention these clear/white hardened tubes look bad against my dark/black backdrop so even the different shades of blue would look better than these.

So, the question is which is the best tubing to use for Poweheads? I want something that will stay in place (may have to use a little silicone to hold them in place) and will not harder or weaken. I did some searching but didn't come up with conclusive answers to my questions.

Thanks for the help!
