so i have a 75 gal peaceful community tank.
currently i have 1 full grown male praecox and 3 female who are roughly 1/3 his size.

firstly i was wondering what i could do to make his colors be at his bests as they arent right now.
i feed them flake food and blood worms.

also since i have 1M;3F, which sex should i get next,
i eventualy want to have about 7 but the store doesnt always have them so sometimes i can only get 1 at a time.

so with 7, should the m;f ratio be 3M;4F? or something different?
also would they ever mate in my aquarium with other fish in it?
tetras platties male dwarf goruamis guppies cories..... etc.

also would khuli loches and these rainbowfish get along?

About the male not being the optimal colours, this can be due to 2 reasons: 1 no competition from another male, and the females being too young to be interesting to the male. Seen the fact that your females are very small, I would take a female next time, and if your have the chance to buy 2, a male and a female. For the final ratio I would go with 2 males and 5 females.

You have a beautiful big tank there, and if I were you, I would make these fish my centre piece shoal with at least 15 fish. Remember, praecox rainbow are relatively small and a small shoal will somewhat disappear in that big tank.

Yes, they can definitively breed provided you have enough plants, spawning mops or java moss around. However, with all the other fish in there, I don't think that you will get any fry...

If you want 7, then 3 males and four females is sort of the golden ratio :)

Thank you! Yes I think I'm going to have a final ratio of 4 males and 6 females. To have a nice school of 10. Thankss
