....that i can see clinging to the underside of my bogwood ? Looks like jelly.
 
or a bit of decomposing food?

Then again, I've heard new wood can sometimes develop a fungus, which should go on its own....:unsure:
 
If it is like a blob of very hard jello Its snail eggs. funguses tend to look fuzzy.

Scrap it off and toss it out if you dont want them but snails are only a cosmedic nusence and will help eat any food that falls to the bottom and srape the algea away from the walls of the tank.

Get a pleco or some sort of suckermouth cat. They will keep driftwood very clean. And they will love you for giving them driftwood: to help with digestion and to provide a hiding place.
 
thks guys. its fungus then coz ive seen snail eggs elsewhere in the tank that are clear.
 
From what I've asked other people here in the forums, it seems like bogwood fungus is pretty common. If it doesn't go away in a day or two, just scrub it off.
