whats going on

Ive been lookin at my tank lately and realised little cobweb looking things in my tank, on my glass, thermometer and just everywhere. Some bits are also turning white? i duno wats going on? Should i be worried? should i empty and disinfect my tank? What should i do?
I got a feeling its my java fern thats causing the problem.
My tank is 6 gallons and its divided with 2 bettas and a corner filter, heater etc.

I had this before in my 8gal betta tank!
It was caused by the Java Moss I had in there, exept mine was a more white and powdery.
What I did was move my betta to my 10gal and then I cleaned out the whole 8gal and washed the Java Moss too.
When cleaning out the tank I didn't empty it I just tookout 90% of the water with a suckon cleaner so I could take away most of the dirt in the water as well. I added some tap water into the 8gal and used the suckon cleaner again, after that I still had 10% of water left in the tank. I got some water from my 10gal aquarium and filled up the 8gal tank, because the 10gal aquarium had good old water and I kinda knew it would help.
Because my filter broke down a few weeks before that I got a new one and added it after I cleaned up the tank and added new water. A few days later I added the Java Moss then my betta. The water is fine now and the betta is happy.

Mabye you should do what I did... in a way. You don't have to but I think it helps.
