whats better as an algue eater for a dwarf puffer tank?

a trio of ottos or one bristle nose pleco?

im having a single dp in a 10g which is moderatly planted.

3 amazon swords.

but im sure if it gets out of hand i have about 5 more fake plants. :dunno:

I'd never recommend otos with DPs as there are too many people who have their otos shredded. I haven't heard of too many people having BNs shredded by DPs, but then 10 gal is awfully small for the waste machine that is a pleco.

I would advise against each and instead truy and find the cause of the algae and combat it. The planted section will help you immensely.

A 10G is WAY too smalle for a Bristlenose. You'd be better off just doing regular aglae scraping yourself.

Also amazon swords get big! Mine would go half way to filling a 10G now...

I finally traded in an amazon sword that filled up 1/2 of my 90g.

Don't remember, tradid for something. My fish were happy to have swimming room!

It depends on the DP my puffer R.I.P lasted peacfully for about a day with one oto, then i noticed him picking on him, so the oto went back into the community tank. I've heard success and I've heard failure. you can try but keep a sharp I out for any aggression.

all DP's are different some are friendlier then others
