Hi I have noticed my 2 dwarf gourami and my 2 honey gourami dont seem 2 be eating the Tropical fish food I use, Can anyone shed any light on the matter ?

How long have you had then.
Sometimes when you buy fish it takes them a while to get used to another brand.

I have had them a week today.

So they havent eaten it since you got them.
Do you have any other foods in the house.

Yes I feed my ACF frozen blood worm, the Gourami try 2 eat them but dont seem able 2 keep them in their mouth.

Are they spitting the food out.
Anys symtoms to go on.

Nope nothing. N yes just seem 2 be spitting it out, It looks they are trying to eat with not much luck unfortunately.

tetra color should only be fed as a supplement. i used to mix one 5 oz can in a 1lb container of regular.
if you feed just color, your fish wont get all the nutrients they need.

Spitting food out can be a number of things.
Don't like the food, the peice of food to big, to gill flukes, or not interested in food ill.
Check the gills over to see if there pale with excess mucas on them, or red and infflamed.
Any signs of flicking and rubbing or increased breathing.

The honey gourami are a nice bright yellow but seem a little darker around the gills but they were all like that at my new LFS so just assumed it 2 be normal. They are not red round the gills just darker , I do keep checking 2 see if i can notice any difference but other than the eating the seem ok. As with experiance I know that all that looks well isnt always the case.

Have you tryed them on any frozen brime srtrimp.
So the fish are not eating anything you offer them is this correct, as if so its not the flakes

They are quite active and their gills dont seem red just not as yellow, almost opague . They seem 2 pick at the leaves and peck the gravel but i hae never actually seen them eat the fish flakes or blood worm.Am I correct in thinkin flukes are tiny white worms?

Look out for signs of flicking and rubbing as what you are describing can be parasites.Check them for going to the toilet as well.If the fish are not eating anything you offer there is something wrong after a week.Yes gill flukes are tiny white worms, but can harldy see them.You usually have to wrap a fish up in a cloth in tank water.Get a magifying glass and check behind the gill for parasites.
