What Would U Put With Pair Of Ram Cichlid's ?

Hmm, you night want to hold out on that Ram purchase...

From all the fish you have shown intrest in so far, the Rams should be going in last, because...
  • They are cichlids and all cichlids are territorial by nature. If you add them first, there is every chance they will call the whole tank "home." Any new additions thereafter will be called "invaders" in the Rams' eyes.
  • Depending on if you are thinking German or Bolivian Rams, these fish have a super-sensitive nature, along the same lines as adding Cardinal or Neon Tetra to an immature tank. For Germans, I'd be waiting something close to six months to give them a chance of surviving.
Ideally, you will have a list of what fish you are going to stock. You want to list them in order of hardiness and aggressiveness and then buy the hardiest and peaceful group first.

 I'm Glad you pointed this out to me :good: Looks like I will be buying those last then :sly:

Still the upside is plenty of time to look for others to go with!

Hi Carlovel1,

Nice choice :good:

Thanks for your contribution

slight side topic, but would Barbs be suited with rams? or no?

I wouldn;t recommend for OP becuase they are bottom/mid fish, but thought i would ask here instead of setting up a new thread.

Sorry for the highjack!
