i have recently found an amazing deal on a 180 us gal aquarium,(free!!), i was just wondering everyones oppinion on the best filter setup. i currently own 2 aquatech 30-60 gal. filters i could incorperate. any sugestions?

thanks everyone

I would go with an Aquaclear 500 and an emperor 400.

Gives you the best of both worlds / mechanical and biological / and they arent that pricy.

Or you could always go with a good canister.

I have a 150 with an AC500, EMP400 and a canister. You can never be too careful.

thanks man, i agree with the emperor but i have to ask about the aquaclear? does it offer better fitleration? i was under the impression it was a lower end filter with only reasonable results? your thought would be greaty apreciated!

thanks again everyone

Aquaclear is an extremely reliable mechanical filter. if you replace the carbon bag with another foam filter, it is very useful.

Ive had less problems with my aquaclear than with my emperor.
