What types of plants?

Getting a bunch of girls in the mail tomorrow. I'll take lots of pics when they settle in.

Which plants are best. I know it is a matter of prefrence. Just wondering what the popular vote is. Silk, Plastic, or Live, and what kinds?

Hmm I prefer silk. Just easier for me to take care of.

I think I'd vote for silk, it is the easiest to take care of. But live plants are nice, too.

Edit: The types of plants you can have (here are just some): Java fern, wisteria, dwarf amazon. Btw, how big is the container? Are they going to be in a community or seperate?

I have moneywort, hairgrass and hmm... you know, I am not sure what the tall thin grass like stuff is that sorta shoots up and then curls over.

Does anyone else know what it is called?

I definitely prefer live plants especially big leaf plants like swords. My bettas like them because the are good cover for them to hide in and rest.

I think you're referring to a type of Vallisneria.

The grass in you pic is often refered to as mondo grass. Just put some in my 5 gallon. btw Bettamama, I love that new tank you set up for your girlies!

I'd advise you to stay away from Mondo grass. It's not a true aquatic plant. It won't live long submerged in water, maybe a month or two.
