What Type Of Syno Is This?

He's been in my tank for a about 3 and a half years now - anybody know what type he is?

if you could get another pic with the dorsal fin errect .. i could posiblely id it ...
possibles are
Synodontis nigromaculata looks possible...

there are many hybrids... can you remember how much he costed

Sorry, he was a prsenet from my partner so I'm not sure how much he cost. These are the best pics I could get with his fin up.

I would agree with you there!

defo not a s. eupterus. dont think its a hybrid either, my best guess would be synodontis gallinae or synodontis ocelliIfer, more likely to be the latter of the two. check the names out and see what you think.

synodontis ocellifer are lighter in colour... but i think youve hit it on the head dave!

i think its a young featherfin mine dident have a big dorsal fin when i got him, now he does.
