Its definately a ginny, but its 22" at least ;) not at most :good:

Great looking fish, but they get huge, the other common plec you have will reach anything up to about 17"

So you looking at a good 3' wide tank at least :)

oh and another note, be aware these little guys a poop machines, they produce HUGE amounts of waste. My L001 covers the bottom of the tank daily, lol.

So you are saying the absolute minimum any Gibby will reach is 22 inches? Can i ask what you are basing that on?

The smallest gibby I think I've heard of (when fully grown) is around 10-11" BUT from all the information I have read and heard about, there is no point in basing everything on the 'sunny day' system, I mean, there is no point hoping it wont get too big, as more often than not it will.

For example my L001 is easily 10" maybe a little more, all documentation and other experience say it wont exceed the 9 -10" mark, I dont see this guy stopping anything short of 12".

The 'Sunny day' situation leads many, to problems, I myself have been victim of this at some point ;)

Indeed they are a big fish, was just clarifying that the 'at least' part of your past post was actually wrong.

Try www.planetcatfish.com they quote 12 inches exactly, and thats SL so doesn't include the tail.

hehe, looks like the info on PC.com must have changed over the last 12months, as it stated 10" when I first got the little fish
