I was in the lobby of a building and saw these fish in a well maintained tank. Do you know common and Latin name? Thanks

yep... I agree, I have 5 of them in my barb tank

I just happened to be on Dan's Fish looking at available cories and came across a Rose Line Barb. That is what your picture looks like to me. That is probably another name for what the others suggested above.

Yes it's the same fish. I forgot about that common name.

Quite striking. Word on the streets is that farms try to only sell males to keep breeding competition down. I don't know if that's true as they are slightly larger fish than I usually keep.

I love them in a school... They need quite some length in a tank for their swimming potential. But yes, they are great looking fish.

I couldn't help but notice the beautiful fish in the well-maintained tank. They caught my eye, and I'm now eager to add them to my own aquarium at home.

Bear in mind that they’re not tropical fish. Best temperature for them would be the upper 60s, and tropical temperatures (up to mid 70s) in summer only.
